the events of PGSM take place in approximate real time with the episode airdates.
Hence this episode, that aired in December takes place a little while before
Christmas.

13:13 Moustached Warrior

Usagi has confused the word "kagemusha" with "hige-musha"
A kagemusha is a body double and literally means shadow-warrior,
while hige-musha means moustached-warrior. The literal translation has
been used to preserve the nonsense of Usagi's statement. This scene is
also important for later events in the series.

13:32 Merry Christmas Cake

This is called a strawberry shortcake in Japanese though its really a spongecake
made with whipped cream and strawberries. It is significant in this scene 
because it is basically the cake synonymous with Christmas in Japan.

13:45 We're the same age, stop with the formal speech

Usagi was speaking using formal speech patterns to Minako and considering
they're the same age, Minako is inviting Usagi to speak more casually. 
Since Usagi clearly sees Minako in a much higher social standing than Usagi,
she's finding it difficult to deal with the permission.
