Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Musical – Princess Kaguya’s Lover (Kaguya-hime no Koibito) is a musical based off of the manga short story of the same name, which is also what the Sailor Moon S movie is based off of. A beloved and fan favorite story, this show tells the story of Luna’s first love with an astronomer, Kakeru, and the Sailor Guardians battle with an ancient being from the past, Princess Snow Kaguya.
The musical ran originally from Sept. 3rd-12th 2021. Originally this was to be the new musical for 2019 but was postponed twice. Once for unknown reasons and the second due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This show consists of an all new cast and features the second appearance of Luna portrayed by an actress (as opposed to being a puppet); the first being the 1993 Summer and unrecorded 1994 Winter (revised) musical: Gaiden Dark Kingdom Fukkatsu Hen.
